"The Egg and I " 1947 starring Claudette Colbert and Fred MacMurray,
I was so little when mummy first played me this movie and we watched it together for the first of countless times.
I have loved it from the first.
It made me laugh and keep laughing, surpassing the pain in my belly, the tears in my eyes even though I felt that I would rupture apart from all the laughter.
"The Egg and I" is beyond hilarious and one of my all time favourite films.
It is still one of the best comedy films ever made, to me.
This was the movie that introduced "Ma and Pa Kettle", of whom I am also a lifelong fan, to the world.
None of us can laugh enough or too much in this life.
I believe that laughter is indeed the best medicine as the old adage tells us.
If you need or want to laugh, to simply feel better, I highly and thoroughly recommend you watch "The Egg and I".
May you enjoy it as much as I have throughout my life.
May it bring you as much joy as it has bought me over my life time, so far.
I love movies and most especially old movies, and to me, this is one of the best.
I love comedy, I love laughing, I love this movie.
I too am a tree-changer.
Enjoy.......

Approximately three minutes reading time “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.” ― Martin Luther King Jr. Hello, I hope that you are well and have had a good week. Thank you for joining me. Wow, I cannot believe that it is once again Sunday. I am grateful to have survived this week. I find my suspicions confirmed about the injustice that I face and in which I have been trapped. Thankfully the Sun has been shining through the clouds and joy, happiness and love still find their way into my days and into my life. Current circumstances mean that I must delay posting just yet. The full post has been written. I am under threat. I must wear the muzzle forced upon me. I am silenced, for now. This is why my post has been withheld until now. I will post a greeting and nothing more for the moment, until I am once again safe and free from threats and free from silence to share my story. Gosh, it's lucky that I live in a First World Democracy. I say this sarcastical
Approximately thirteen minutes reading time "... I'm also not going to go through life with one hand tied behind my back." James Dean Hello and welcome to another Sunday. Thank you for joining me. I hope that your week has been a good one. What a week, I am thrilled that I have survived this week and well, considering that I wasn’t sure how or if I would. The Sun is shining brightly and warm today, which brings me joy. Schrodie and I had a fabulous walk, as always. There were people everywhere having picnics, playing, out and about enjoying a lovely Summer day. The scents of Summer filled us with joy as the perfume from gardens and the bush delighted us and proving, as always, to be a salve for a hard time filled with unbelievable and unbearable challenges. Gardens are being tended and lawns mowed so the scent of freshly mowed lawns fills the air. For me this is heaven. Flowers are abundant and a showcase of colour, form and texture and truly wonderful. We
Approximately 18 minutes to Antarctica "Rebellion to tyrants is obedience to God" (proposed by Franklin for the motto of the Great Seal of the United States). https://fee.org/articles/17-benjamin-franklin-quotes-on-tyranny-liberty-and-rights/ Hello, I hope that you and yours are well and have had a good week. Thank you for your company. Every day as I open the back door we are greeted with the scent of Heaven and we love the experience. It is the smell of Daphne, the gift of the Greek Gods to us mortals. We both enjoy the back yard, the Jonquils, the Daffodils and other flowering plants but most especially we love the Daphne. I had a beautiful Daphne bush at home near my back door and I will plant another. Our last week and a half of Autumn weather is stormy, cold and wet. Schrodie and I have returned from our beautiful, long walk and the weather was cool but mild. As we left it started to sprinkle and Schrodie took us for a new and long walk. Luckily the we

Eleanor Roosevelt https://www.azquotes.com/author/12603-Eleanor_Roosevelt Hello, thanks for joining me again. I hope that all is well with you and that your week has been a good one. I’m sorry for the late post. I forgot to upload it, even though it was written, as I have so much going on. On my way to see my house the other day, I saw an Echidna in front of me on the highway and it waddled slowly to the edge of the road onto the shoulder. I prayed it got there safely. My heart soared as I watched it reach safety. I hoped that it felt satisfied in the verge and enjoyed it’s time whilst having a good meal. My instinct said that it was headed across the next stretch of highway, with cars travelling towards Sydney and this was dangerous for this little, rare cr
Approximately twenty one minutes reading time “Enjoy life. There’s plenty of time to be dead.” ― Hans Christian Andersen Hello! I hope that your week has been a good one and that you are happy and well. So quickly, Sunday has arrived. Christmas looms as does 2022. In thirty four days it’s Christmas and only forty days until 2022. Winter time has stayed with us as we are drenched and cold for another week. The sunshine has been intermittent, bright, joyful and warming. Warming when there is no freezing cold wind with long icy fingers gripping us and cutting through us. The fierce and icy winds are relentless and mostly counter the sunshine but not completely. Our Springtime air is so sweet and fragrant making it almost impossible to be unhappy. Perfume and nectar filled gardens are heavenly and constant, everywhere. These are a gift from the gods, to be sure. I grew up loving Hans Christian Anderson, his wonderful Storytelling and his Stories. Hans Christian Anderson’s wo
Approximately 21 minutes reading time “Courage is not having the strength to go on; it is going on when you don’t have the strength.” – Theodore Roosevelt https://everydaypower.com/im-tired-quotes/ Hello, I hope that all is well with you and that you’ve had a good week. WOW, I am glad to have survived this last week. I didn’t think I had any puff left in me. Surprise! I feel like I might have finally made a breakthrough, I hope so. I have been feeling like I have been walking the line for a long while now, in so many ways and Johnny Cash singing this song has been firmly in my mind. This great song written by Johnny Cash. His legacy of great music is undeniable. Later with his wife and partner June Carter Cash they added to this great legacy. They had a hard road finding each other and finally getting together but how beautiful for them both that it was such a wonderful union and their combined talents left us many gifts. Anyway it’s been stuck in my head for so long,
Approximately 17 minutes reading time “ As we advance in life it becomes more and more difficult, but in fighting the difficulties the inmost strength of the heart is developed .” – Vincent Van Gogh https://www.mightyfighter.com/greatest-fighting-quotes/ Hello, I hope that you are well and have had a good week. Thank you for joining me. Satisfaction, not entirely, not yet, but I'm working on it and I know that I will feel it in its entirety, once again, eventually. Regularly and intermittently I do find and enjoy satisfaction, for which I am grateful. This keeps me going through all the turmoil and the anguish that currently floods my life. I cannot wait for my Satisfaction of going home and being settled so that Schrodie and I can begin to recover and move into the next and better chapter of our lives. I will feel satisfaction when I reach Antarctica and return home. Without leaving behind the great and wonderful experiences and people who have shared our lives ov
Approximately twelve minutes reading time “Disenchantment, whether it is a minor disappointment or a major shock, is the signal that things are moving into transition in our lives.” ~ William Throsby Bridges Hello! Welcome to another Sunday. How quickly it has arrived. I hope that you are happy and well. It’s only twenty days until Christmas and twenty six days until 2022. Oh my! Much has happened this week. It has not been easy but it has been a good week. Monday was heralded with a song that a man made up for me and sang to me. I was humbled, delighted and flattered. It was lovely. This was a new song. I told them that I am incredibly flattered and feel very special, especially given this new information. How lucky I am. Yesterday I learned that my ten year old nephew is a close contact risk of Covid-19 from one of his class mates at school. He wears a mask to school. I pray that he is safe and well. I hope that all the children are okay. A few days ago I lear
Approximately eight minutes reading time "If we have no peace, it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other." Mother Teresa Hello! I hope that you are well and that your week has been a good one. I cannot believe how quickly the weeks are rolling by. Thank you for joining me. It’s only twenty seven days until Christmas and thirty three days until 2022. Oh my! Although we have returned to Wintertime which is expected to continue until mid-December at least, we are enjoying the glorious scents of Spring and the beautiful, colourful gardens whenever possible. During the breaks in the rainstorms and gale force winds most days, we have enjoyed our long and splendid walks which invigorate both Schrodie and myself. We manage daily adventures of some kind. For these joys and almost daily delights we remain ever grateful. “What’s My Scene” one of the biggest hits by the Australian 80’s Rock Band Hoodoo Gurus is this weeks ‘Song of the Week’.
